About The Awards

The “Marketing Thought Leader Award” (formerly “Swiss Academy of Marketing Science Award“) is given to: (1) A personality from marketing practice, (2) who promotes marketing education and research at Swiss universities in a special way and (3) who strengthens the idea of marketing in practice.

The “Rigour & Relevance Research Award” is given for: (1) A research paper, (2) which is highly recognized in the scientific community and which and (3) makes a significant contribution to solving current and relevant problems in marketing practice.

The “Impact Award” is given for: A research project showcased at the SAMS conference with a substantial influence on (1) marketing practice, (2) marketing science, or (3) research methodologies in the field of marketing.

The “Best Doctoral Presentation Award” is given for: (1) A PhD student with an (2) outstanding performance in his/her presentation.
