Daniela Steiner

CEO FELFEL

Award 2020

Swiss Academy of Marketing Science Award

Daniela Steiner is a visionary in the Swiss food industry. Together with her husband, she founded Felfel, Switzerland’s first food tech company, in 2013. Since then, Daniela Steiner has been shaping the future of office catering. Under the credo “Good Food at Work”, Felfel offers staff catering of an innovative kind. Felfel is a kind of canteen for companies with 50 or more employees. An intelligent refrigerator supplies employees with fresh and sustainable products. Behind the refrigerator is a sophisticated infrastructure and an innovative distribution system. The IT system makes it possible to determine demand based on real-time data, which prevents food waste and helps to adapt the food offering to individual preferences. Today, Daniela Steiner manages more than 90 employees together with her husband and serves around 450 companies throughout Switzerland.

Together with husband and company co-founder Emanuel Steiner, Daniela Steiner was awarded the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™. Felfel had already won the prestigious “Swiss Economic Forum Award” in 2017.

The fact that the visionary stands for healthy nutrition in the start-up scene like hardly anyone else is also evident in her second company, which she co-founded in 2014. With HeyLife, Daniela Steiner and her colleagues are pursuing the goal of making healthy eating simple. HeyLife produces natural and plant-based juices and does not use any additives.
