Caspar Coppetti founded the running shoe company “On Running” in 2010 in Zurich together with two friends. 5 years later, the jogging shoes with the revolutionary cushioning are available in over 2,000 specialty stores in around 30 countries and are appreciated by well over a million customers.

In 2016, Dr. Caspar Coppetti was awarded the title “Founder of the Year 2016” by the University of St.Gallen. He had managed to penetrate the global market for running shoes with his company On Running. He began his career as a journalist and strategy consultant at McKinsey & Co. where he served clients in the financial services and sports sectors with a focus on marketing and organization. After completing his doctorate at the University of St.Gallen, he joined the management team of Advico Young & Rubicam, a large Swiss communications agency. There he took over the management of the strategy department and celebrated successes in client acquisition and innovation projects.

For the past 9 years, Dr. Caspar Coppetti has been teaching the subject “Buyer Behavior” at the Bachelor level at the University of St. Gallen as part of a teaching assignment, which is regularly evaluated excellently by the students.
